Share Your Faith!
On March 1, our West Zion Mission Team led a workshop entitled “The Art of the Seed Bomb: Sharing our Faith.” We designed the workshop to cultivate a culture of evangelism (sharing the Good News about Jesus!) in our congregation. We launched our time together by thinking about the gospel–what is it and how do we talk about it? We asked: where are openings in our lives and communities where we can share the gospel with our neighbors? Our conversation dovetailed into three learning tracks: 1.) Everyday evangelism–with scenarios to act out and discuss, 2.) Hospitality evangelism–where we encourage church members to invite visitors to lunch and 3.) Welcoming evangelism–connecting to new residents in Moundridge. We take new neighbors a baked treat, welcome them to the community, and invite them to church.
We’ve started a Mission Prayer Team tasked with praying for the mission of our church and saturating our outreach in prayer.
