You Might Be a Mennonite If…

In an effort to reach out to community members who may not know much about us, Manhattan Mennonite Church has begun an advertising campaign using the slogan “You Might Be a Mennonite If…”.  Following several months of discussion among various committees and boards, twelve statements were chosen that reflect many of the congregation’s core values and describe our worship style.  Throughout October, three of these will appear each week in an ad in the local Manhattan Mercury newspaper.

In addition, the sayings are being posted on the church Facebook page, and tweeted on the congregation’s Twitter feed (@ManhattanMenno) using the hashtag #YouMightBeAMennoniteIf.  They can also be found on the church’s website www.ManhattanMennoniteChurch.org on the “About Us” page.  Notepads featuring all twelve sayings have also been printed.  These will be made available at the church’s annual fund raising meal in November where we serve an average of 500 guests, as well as at other public events such as the K-State Student Activities Fair at the beginning of each semester.
