End Death Penalty Task Force supports KCADP

Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty (KCADP) is honored to have a long list of supporters that have been with us for many years, and the folks at the Mennonite Western District Conference are some of the best!

The WDC End Death Penalty Task Force, coordinated by Rev. Peter Goerzen and Rev. Stan Bohn, works closely with KCADP staff to plan letter writing, advocacy, and speaking events all over the state.  So far in 2014, Mennonite congregations in Kansas have written and collected over 300 letters to legislators.  We could always count on our local members from Southern Hills Mennonite Church for hearings and votes at the Capitol.  Pastors Roger and Cynthia Neufeld Smith, Janet and Larry Dixon, and Guy Smoker joined us at the Capitol each time, and we were so grateful for their presence!

WDC SEEDS is a weekly communication for WDC churches announcing what’s new and good in Western District Conference. Please forward this to congregational members.  Pastors are invited to submit one paragraph summaries of kingdom initiatives that will encourage the networking of best practices across Western District Conference. WDC Seeds is also available at:  www.mennowdc.org.
