STRENGTHENING YOUTH & YOUNG ADULT MINISTRIES

After a year and a half of prayer, study, planning and discernment, Southern Hills Mennonite Church in Topeka, Kansas, has taken a bold step to strengthen their youth and young adult ministries by calling Lois Grummert as their part time youth/young adult leader. Lois grew up in the Mont Ida Church of the Brethren near Garnett, Kansas, attended McPherson College and is currently the part time junior high youth minister for the Western Plains District of the Church of the Brethren (a position she will continue to hold). Lois’ husband, Nick, teaches sixth grade in nearby Tecumseh, KS. Lois and Nick welcomed son Malachi into their family just over a year ago.  Lois says she is eager to use her knowledge and experience in youth ministry to walk with SHMC youth and young adults in deeper commitment to Jesus and kingdom living.
