Join us for WDC Annual Assembly. This year’s Annual Assembly has Texas flair! It’s not just for church leaders! It’s for everybody! August 7-9 we’ll worship, work, spend time connecting with old and new friends over meals, enjoy family-friendly fun times, and grow in faith as generations learn from each other. There are some great workshops planned in Spanish and in English, virtually and in-person. Meet our ministry partners and learn what’s happening in the broader church. WDC Annual Assembly is the premier gathering where we learn and grow in Christ, care for the broader church, and become God’s people together as Western District Conference!
Assembly Theme: Becoming God’s People. Stories will flow of how we are passing on the faith and living out our faith as we are becoming God’s people.
Three Tracks: This year we’ll have three different “tracks” going on at the same time. The Delegate Track is for those who are sent to Assembly as church representatives to help make decisions on behalf of our conference. The Intergenerational Track is for adults and school-aged children and will be a meaningful faith formation experience for all ages led by Kids Meet Christ staff. There will be fun things to do together—bible stories, drama, sharing, art, and even water games (for the kids)! The Youth Track is for youth – high school age and young adults – and will include a service project for youth to do together and get to know each other.
Family Fun Texas Style! Saturday evening will be fun for all ages. There will be snacks, music, and more! Outside if you want, or in the A/C. Have fun with old and new friends.
For ministers and their families: Ministerial Leadership Commission (MLC) is hosting a Friday late afternoon reception for pastors and their families to thank them for their service to Christ and his Church. If you are a credentialed active or retired minister, or a family member of one, you are invited!
