Western District Conference grieves the death of Eldon Epp, credentialed minister in WDC, who passed away unexpectedly on October 29 at his home in Wichita, Kansas. Eldon was Chaplain at Bethesda Home in Goessel, Kansas, and served more recently as Interim Associate Pastor at Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church in Wichita since August 2023. He was a member of the WDC Gifts Discernment Committee. Previously, Eldon served in pastoral ministry at First Mennonite Church (Ransom, Kansas), Salina Mennonite Church, Ames (Iowa) Mennonite Church and Manhattan (Kansas) Mennonite Church.
Eldon’s memorial service is planned for Sunday, Nov 5. A graveside service at Buhler Municipal Cemetery will be at 2:00pm followed by a memorial service at 3:00pm at Buhler Mennonite Church (220 West Ave B). Visitation is planned for Saturday, Nov 4 from 4:00-7:00pm at Buhler Mortuary. Memorials can be made out to Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church.
