This year MHS Association and Anabaptist Disabilities Network received a grant of $1.2 million from Lilly Endowment’s Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer Initiative. The national initiative aims to support faith-based organizations as they help children grow in faith and deepen their relationships with God. As a result, ADN launched an exciting new five-year project: All In: Immersive Worship for Everybody.

Nineteen congregations have been chosen to participate in this collaborative project, exploring ways to worship that are multisensory and accessible for people of all ages and abilities, especially children with disabilities.

The congregations chosen are already working to include people of all abilities in worship and are excited to learn in community with one another as part of this project. Each congregation will create worship services where people of all ages and abilities can learn and worship together. Creating spaces where the gifts of children, specifically children with disabilities, are celebrated and are invited to share their gifts. Through our work together, ADN will develop training resources to continue nurturing and expanding the network of “All In” congregations for years to come.
