At the beginning of this new program year, we reaffirm WDC’s mission of empowering Anabaptist/Mennonite congregations to Witness and invite others to faith in Jesus Christ, Dwell in just and loving relationships, and Connect to God’s mission in the world.
To strengthen our shared mission, elected leadership groups and staff are invited to gather for WDC Fall Reference Council on September 25, at 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, via zoom.
This Reference Council gathering will focus on the third element in the WDC mission statement, Connect to God’s Mission in the world. Lois Barrett, Moderator, will present reflections on how the church is a sign of the reign of God and proclaims God’s reign in the world. There will be time for break-out small group conversations about how this missional identity and purpose shapes the work of our Executive Board and Commissions, as well as time for connecting with each other and hearing WDC updates and orientation. A more detailed schedule will be sent out closer to the date.
