Camp Mennoscah announcements
- Schedules change and with that so do our kitchen staff needs! Camp Mennoscah is restarting the search for 1-2 volunteer kitchen staff for both July 16-22 (Junior High II) and July 30-August 4(Senior High). These are great weeks filled with energy, enthusiasm, and bits of entropy! Kitchen staff can receive a parent discount up to full camp fees. The only skills needed are willing hands, cheerful hearts, and the ability to follow directions. Contact us at olivia.bartel@campmennoscah.org or 620-297-3290. It’s a fun time!
- Bring a Friend! Hey, returning campers! Did you know that if you bring a first time friend that you both get a free tee shirt? You do! So find that lucky friend and ask them to come to Camp Mennoscah with you. We’ll make sure that both of you get that free camp tee. Questions or need to add a Bring a Friend to a registration you already submitted? Contact us at 620-297-3290or olivia.bartel@campmennoscah.org. We love new friends!
Mennonite church announcements
American Sign Language translation for persons with hearing impairment is one of the Accessibility Services being offered at the MCUSA Convention in July, but so far, no one has indicated on their registration that they will need this service at Orlando. We have volunteers who would be available to sign, but no need for their help as of yet. Because the ASL volunteers would need to schedule personal vacation time in order to assist us at the Convention, we need to confirm very soon that they would be needed. If you know of anyone who will be coming to the MCUSA Convention this summer who will need American Sign Language interpretation services –for adult or youth convention — please let let us know as soon as possible. Here is info on our website: http://convention.mennoniteusa.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Accessibility-Information.pdf Deadline to register for ASL services at Convention is Monday, May 15, at the latest.
