Sunday school class seeks spiritual renewal
The New Disciples Sunday School class at First Mennonite, Newton has a desire for spiritual renewal! They seek this renewal both in their individual walks with God and in their congregational life. On September 21, both in their Sunday School lesson and the worship service that followed, God spoke to the them in a new way. The Spirit moved them to do something. As they discerned what they should be doing, the discussion quickly focused on a Family Life Ministry. So, they have committed to take a step of faith and start a Family Life Ministry at the church. They are starting small and letting it grow by focusing on quarterly multi-generational service projects. Their first service project will be in early December. They are providing a Christmas party for another Sunday School class in the church. They will be providing child care and the meal.
