Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
As a way to live out our Vision Statement of expanding community outreach, First Mennonite Church of Halstead held a teacher appreciation breakfast. Educators, administration and support staff of the Halstead/Bentley school district were invited to attend on the last day of work. We had no idea just how many people we were to expect. In the end, we were thankful for a solid turnout of volunteers from our church to cook and serve, because we had over 60 people show up to eat! It went so well, that we are looking to have one in the fall as well!
