The Bible on Hands, Foreheads, and Backs

Year of the Bible is about engaging the Scripture more intentionally and intensely. Deuteronomy 6:8 instructed God’s people to take God’s commands and tie them on their hands and bind them on their foreheads. It was for the purpose of getting God’s instruction in their hearts and impressing it upon their children. Clarence Rempel spotted this contemporary application (see picture below) at Beatrice Mennonite Church on Sunday, July 21. Desiree Younger, Lincoln, NE was announcing God’s instruction with this tattoo that incorporates the Mennonite Church USA logo. What could be more intentional and intense than a tattoo?
