DESCRIPTION:In observance of Juneteenth\, the WDC Office & Resource Library will be closed on Thursday\, June 19th. We will open again as normal on Friday\, June 20th. \nJuneteenth is a holiday commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. The holiday’s name is a blend of the words “June” and “nineteenth”\, referring to June 19\, 1865\, the day marking the final announcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War.
