Hooray! The new swimming pool at Camp Mennoscah was completed just in time for the 2011 summer camping season. With temperatures climbing above 100 degrees for many of our weeks, the pool was a much needed and much used part of camp. Thank you to everyone who donated time, funds, and prayers to this project.
We have not yet raised all of the funds for the pool, with slightly more than $50,000 to go. We’ve been saying it for almost a year now–$150 pays for one square foot of the new pool. This means we have around 334 more square feet of pool yet to pay for.
We are so grateful for the many gifts we have received and for the pool that kept us cool this past summer. Whatever the temperatures this summer, the pool will continue to be a wonderfully fun (and cool) place to gather. Thank you for being part of our camping ministry!
